Matar Pudina Pulao (Green Peas Mint Rice Recipe)

This rice dish is a combination of green peas , mint and coriander leaves. It is a very simple and aromatic one pot meal dish which serves with curd or raita.

  • 3 Cups Cooked Basmati Rice
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped Mint Leaves
  • 1 Cup Boiled Green Peas
  • 2 Green Chilies, Chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Onion, Chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Coriander Leaves, Chopped
  • Salt to Taste
  • Red Chili Powder to Taste
  • 1 Tsp. Coriander Powder
  • 2 Tbsps. Oil


  1. Heat the oil in non-stick pan, add onion and green chilies and saute for 2 minutes on medium flame. 

  2. Add green peas, coriander and mint, salt, red chili powder and coriander powder and mix well and cook for few seconds. 

  3. Add cooked rice and toss gently. Stir few seconds and Serve Immediately with curd or raita.

Tips: You can use leftover steam rice also for making this recipe.
