Tamatar Ka Paratha | Tomato Flatbread Recipe

Tamatar ka Paratha or Tomato flatbread recipe is an Indian flatbread recipe which is made with fresh tomato paste and some Indian spices.

  • 1 1/4 Cup Wheat Flour
  • 2 Tbsps. Besan / Gram Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Tomato Paste
  • Salt to Taste
  • 1/2 Tsp. Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Green Chili, Finely Chopped
  • 1 Tsp. Ginger Paste
  • 1 Tbsp. Oil
  • Oil For Cooking


  1. Combine all ingredients together in large bowl and mix well. 

  2. Add little water (if needed) and knead smooth dough, cover and keep aside to set for 15 minutes. 

  3. Now divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll it into regular roti form using rolling pin. 

  4. Heat the tawa and cook the paratha with little ghee/oil from the both sides until to golden and evenly cooked. 

  5. Serve tamatar ka paratha with chutney or curd.
