Shakarkandi Ki Chaat | Sweet Potato Chaat

It is super tasty and easy to make chaat which you can enjoy in winter season. For this chaat, we need only few ingredients like roasted sweet potato, chutney and lemon juice, salt.

  • 4 Roasted Sweet Potatoes
  • Sweet Tamarind Chutney
  • Green Chili and Coriander Chutney
  • Green Coriander, Chopped
  • Roasted Cumin Powder
  • Black Salt to Taste
  • Lemon Juice to Taste


  1. Rinse the Sweet Potatoes in water and pat dry with a kitchen towel. Apply some oil all over and keep it for roasting on griddle and cover it with big pan.

  2. You can also grill the sweet potatoes or roast in the oven or you can boil them in pressure cooker. Keep the sweet potato turning after a 4-5 minutes on tawa, so that its evenly cooked.

  3. Roast them till it’s completely tender and cooked. Peel the skin and cut into diced.

  4. Now take a big bowl and combine chopped sweet potatoes, chutneys, salt, and lemon juice and cumin powder.

  5. Add chopped coriander and mix everything properly. Shakarkandi or Sweet Potato chaat is ready to serve.
