Besan Bread Toast

Besan bread toast is very simple and tasty snack recipe which prepared with gram flour, veggies and spices.

  • 6-8 Bread Slices
  • 1 Cup Gram Flour/ Besan
  • 1/4 Cup Onion Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Capsicum Finely Chopped
  • 1 Tsp. Green Chilies As Taste
  • 2 Tbsps. Green Coriander Chopped
  • Salt to Taste
  • Red Chili Powder to Taste
  • 1/2 Tsp. Carom Seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp. Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Tsp. Amchur Powder/ Raw Mango Powder
  • Oil for Frying


  1. Combine all ingredients together in large mixing bowl except bread and oil.

  2. Whisk well till to smooth consistency and keep aside for 5-10 minutes to get thick and flawless consistency batter. 

  3. Heat the non-stick tawa on medium flame. Now dip a bread slice one by one into besan batter and cover both sides. 

  4. Place the toast on pan and cook it on low flame. Flip and cook from both sides till golden brown and crisp. 

  5. Press gently to make sure batter is cooked properly. Finally cut the slices into triangles and serve hot with sauces. 

Recipe Notes

You can add grated carrot or chopped tomatoes also if you prefer.
