Bael Ka Sharbat (Wood Apple Juice)

Bael Sharbat is summer drink which made with bael flesh with salt, pepper and sugar.

  • 2 Medium sized Bael/ Wood apple
  • 2 Tbsps. Powdered Sugar
  • Black Salt to Taste
  • Roasted Cumin Powder to Taste
  • Black Pepper Powder to Taste
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice, Optional
  • 2-3 Glasses of Water
  • Few Mint Leaves, Chopped for garnishing


  1. Break the fruit and Scoop out the flesh in large bowl, using a spoon. 

  2. Pour glass of water and Squeeze the pulp to separate the seeds and juice, using palms. 

  3. Press the juice through siever to strain the fibers and seeds from the thick pulp. 

  4. Transfer the pulp remaining in the sieve into a bowl and add more water. Repeat the squishing and strain process. 

  5. Add sugar to the strained juice and add salt, pepper powder, cumin powder and mix well. 

  6. Serve chilled with mint leaves and ice-cubes. 

Recipe Notes

You can add Lemon juice also which gives very refreshing taste to this Indian Bael sharbat
