Zero Oil Khichdi Recipe

This khichdi recipe is super healthy and oil free recipe, Even i dont use onion, gralic or anything. It can be served with pickle, chutney or curd.

  • 1 Cup Rice
  • 3/4 Cup Yellow Pigeon Lentil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 Tsp. Turmeric Powder


  1. Wash and soak the rice and dal in water for atleast 20 minutes.

  2. Drain the excess water and keep aside.
  3. Add rice, dal, salt, turmeric powder with 4 cups of water.
  4. Cover with lid and cook till to 3-4 whistles on low flame.
  5. Open the lid and mix well.
  6. Transfer into serving plate and serve hot with curd and pickle.
