Beetroot Raita

A beetroot raita is quick and simple recipe which made with yogurt, beetroot and some Indian spices. It’s a very healthy accompaniment of yogurt which you can serve as side dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Beetroot, peeled and grated
  • 2 Cups Yogurt, Whisked
  • Black Salt to Taste
  • 1 Tsp. Roasted Cumin Powder
  • Red Chili Powder to Taste
  • Chaat Masala To Taste
  • 1/4 Cup Onion, Chopped
  • 1 Tsp. Green Chilies, Chopped
  • 2 Tbsps. Coriander, Chopped

Instructions
 

  • Peel and grated the beetroot and boil it with enough water in saucepan or pressure cooker till to tender. 
  • Blend it till to smooth. 
  • Now combine whisked yogurt, beetroot puree, salt, roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, green chilies, onion and coriander leaves and mix well. 
  • Keep in refrigerator for 2 hours to set. Serve chilled with main course.
