Fried Matar Chaat is very popular street food of Varanasi in India, which available at roadside corner, generally made by fried matar, onion, tomatoes, green chilies and spices with lemon juice.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Green Peas
  • 1/2 Cup Onion Chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Tomatoes Chopped
  • 2 Green Chilies Chopped
  • Green Coriander Chopped
  • Salt to Taste
  • Chaat Masala to Taste
  • Red Chilies Powder to Taste
  • Black Pepper Powder to Taste
  • Lemon Juice to Taste
  • 3 Tbsps. Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp. Roasted Cumin Powder

Instructions
 

  • Wash and cook the green peas in pressure cooker till to semi tender. Now drain the excess water and keep aside.
  • Heat the oil in a pan, when oil is hot enough add boiled peas and fried them for few mintues.
  • Add salt, red chili powder, black pepper and mix well. Now transfer the fried peas into mixing bowl.
  • Add chopped onion, coriander, tomatoes, green chilies, chaat masala and cumin powder.
  • Squeeze the lemon and mix it gently. Serve immediately.
