Green Chilli Thecha (Maharastrian Thecha Recipe)

Green chilli Thecha is made using fresh green chilies, peanuts, garlic and salt. It is Maharashtrian condiments that is specially eaten with bhakri or any other flatbread.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 gm green chilies hari mirch
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds jeera
  • 1/4 cup garlic cloves peeled (lahsun)
  • 1/4 cup green coriander daniya patti
  • 1/2 cup peanuts mungfali
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Wash the chilies and remove the stalk and keep aside.
  • Heat the heavy non-stick pan on medium flame, add green chilies and saute them on medium heat. Keep stirring regularly.
  • Once half done, add coriander leaves and saute them too for few minutes.
  • Once done, remove the chilies and coriander on a plate.
  • Now add oil in the same pan, add cumin seeds, garlic and saute till to garlic turns golden. Keep stirring regularly.
  • Remove the garlic and cumin too in same plate.
  • Add peanuts in same pan and cook till lightly roasted. Transfer the peanuts to the same plate and keep aside to cool down.
  • Transfer the all ingredients (green chili, coriander, peanuts, and garlic) in to mortar and pestle or hand chopper to make a coarse paste.
  • Add the salt as per taste and mix well. Now ready to serve.
  • You can store this thecha recipe in airtight jar for 5-6 days.
