Khichdi Na Muthia is a simple and steamed snack which made by mashed khichdi, besan, lauki and spices.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Leftover Khichdi
  • 1 Cup Bottle Gourd Lauki, Grated
  • 1/2 Cup Gram Flour Besan
  • 1 Tsp. Ginger Grated
  • 1 Tsp. Green Chilies Chopped
  • 2 Tbsps. Coriander Leaves Chopped
  • 2 Tbsps. Oil
  • 1 Tsp. Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp. Cumin seeds
  • Few Curry Leaves
  • 1 Tsp. Sesame Seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp. Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Red Chili Powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Combine khichdi, gram flour, green chilies, ginger, lauki, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander leaves and oil. Mix well till to firm dough.
  • Grease your hands with oil, divide the mixture into 20 equal portions and roll into oval shape.
  • Place the pieces into steamer plate and steam it on medium heat for 15-20 minutes.
  • Transfer the steamed muthia pieces onto a separate plate.
  • Heat the oil in tempering pan.
  • Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
  • When they start splutter, add curry leaves and sesame seeds.
  • Add steamed muthias and toss them in tempering for few minutes.
  • Transfer onto a serving platter.
  • Serve khichdi na Muthia with chutney and tea or coffee as evening snack.
