Varki Paratha

Varki Paratha is a flaky and layered paratha which made with wheat flour and grease with rice flour and ghee to get separate layers.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Wheat Flour
  • 1 Cup Plain Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Rice Flour
  • 4 Tbsps. Ghee
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • Salt to Taste
  • Ghee for Cooking

Instructions
 

  • Combine rice flour and ghee in a bowl and make a smooth paste and keep aside. 
  • Combine plain flour, wheat flour, milk, salt and enough water to make a soft dough. 
  • Divide the dough into equal 6-8 Portions and roll each portion into a thin roti. 
  • Place one roti and spread rice mixture evenly. 
  • Place another roti on the top of first one, repeat the same process till to all rotis have been placed. 
  • Roll it tightly from one end to another end like roll. Cut the roll into equal 5-6 portions. 
  • Roll it again into paratha form using rolling pin. 
  • Heat the tawa and cook the paratha till to golden and crisp from both sides using ghee. Do same process with remaining balls. 
  • Serve hot parathas.
