Lapsi is a very delicate and traditional recipe which very famous in Rajasthan, Gujarat
and especially in Haryana regions. There
is so many ways to prepare lapsi, some people used broken wheat, with jaggery. But
in Haryana culture, we made lapsi with wheat flour, jaggery and very little
amount of ghee in sticky consistency. But this time I prefer to make with
broken wheat and sugar. In this recipe first roast the broken wheat to get
golden in color and for attractive aroma. Then cook in milk and water for 10-15
minutes till to thick consistency with adding some flavors of cardamom powder
and chopped nuts. You can add complete milk instead of water at time of cooking.
In winter season, it’s really yumm and good for health too. You can add jaggery to instead of sugar for making more healthier.
