Chana dal chaat is very easy and quick snack which made by combining all ingredients like onion, tomatoes, cucumber, dal, anar and lemon juice together in one bowl. Always garnish with sev or puff rice to get crunchy texture in every chaat.










To get quick chaat, I used readymade masala chana dal from Haldiram’s. It’s very quick snack which you can serve with drinks or cup of tea as snack.

Ingredients
1 Cup Chana Dal
1/4 Cup Onion, Chopped
1/4 Cup Tomatoes, Chopped
1/4 Cup Cucumber, Chopped
1 Tsp. Green Chilies, Finely Chopped
2 Tbsps. Pomegranate Seeds
2  Tbsps. Mint Coriander Chutney
1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
Chaat Masala to Taste
Salt to Taste


Instructions
Combine all ingredients together in big bowl. Toss well. Serve immediately.


Notes: You can add more items like boiled potatoes, sweet chutney, puffed rice.

  1. The first time I read the recipe, skipped the note above the recipe and was wondering how one can eat chana dal as is without cooking or even soaking. Next time I get Halidram's chana dal, with try this chaat.

  2. This recipe of yours reminded me of my mum. She used to add chopped onions, raw mango and dhania and give this to us for snack at 4. A simple and yet very tasty recipe.
