Sattu
is flour basically prepared by dry roasted grams or grains. Sattu is quite
popular in the state of Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Punjab and
Uttar Pradesh. In Bihar, Sattu is
prepared with toasted gram flour but in Punjab, sattu is prepared with toasted
ground barley. It is also known as desi Horlicks in the state of Bihar.
Sattu
includes good amount of protein and fiber which is good for digestion and gives
lots of energy. It even helps us in balancing our diet. Most of time sattu ka
drink serves as namkeen sharbat but you can add small spoon of sugar also if
you like little khatta meetha type drink.

Instructions:
Combine
all ingredients in a pitcher or jug and mix well.

I have read a lot about this drink, never tried to make it myself..we use powdered fried gram as offering, and use it in different forms..never this way…
