Sattu is basically flour which made from roasted chanas. Sattu is quite popular drink in the state of Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh. Sattu is prepared with roasted chana but in Punjab, sattu is prepared with roasted barley. Sattu includes good amount of protein and fiber which is good for digestion and gives lots of energy. It even helps us in balancing our diet.
You can prepare sattu ka paratha, sattu ki kachori and many more dishes from sattu. But in summer, sattu ka thanda sharbat is popular drink throughout India. You can prepare namkeen sharbat or khatta meetha sharbat. I used 24 Mantra Organic Sattu products which is really good in quality.

Ingredients for Sattu Drink:
1/2 Cup 24 Mantra Organic Sattu
Black Salt to Taste
1 Tsp. Roasted Cumin Powder
1/2 Lemon Juice
For Tamarind- Jaggery Paste
1/2 Cup 24 Mantra Organic Jaggery
1/2 24 Mantra Organic Tamarind
1 Cup Water
For Mint Paste
1/4 Cup Mint
1/4 Cup Coriander
2-3 Green Chilies
1/2 Tsp. Black Pepper Powder
For Garnishing
2 Tbsps. Onion, Chopped
2 Tbsps. Mint Leaves
1 Tsp. Green Chilies, Chopped
How to Make Sattu Drink Recipe:
Combine green chili, coriander, mint and black pepper together in jar and blend it till to smooth chutney consistency. Transfer into bowl and keep aside.
Boil the 1 cup water in pan, add jaggery and tamarind and mix well. Boil it till to jaggery melts and thick consistency. Strain it and keep aside.
Combine 24 mantra organic sattu with two glass of water in pitcher. Add salt, cumin powder, lemon juice, 2 tbsps of coriander paste and 4 tbsps. of jaggery paste and mix well. Garnish with chopped onion, green chilies and chopped mint. Serve chilled into individual glasses.
Note: Adjust the flavor of tamarind- jaggery paste and coriander paste in sattu gol, according to your tastebuds.

Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup 24 Mantra Organic Sattu
- Black Salt to Taste
