Another street recipe which is so simple to make but very delicious and healthy. Love the color combination of green chanas, red tomatoes, pink onions and flavor of lemon juice and chaat masala in this chaat. It’s very quick and tempting street recipe which you can serve as chaat or as salad also. But remember, prepare always fresh and serve immediately.
You can found fresh green chickpeas and green chanas in market during winters only. You can be found this chaat in every corner of street in Delhi or North region. For this recipe, you have boiled the chickpeas in pressure cooker. Drain them and combine with onion, tomatoes, spices and lemon juice. Mix well and serve immediately as chaat.
Chickpeas, or garbanzo beans, are a great source of plant-based protein and fiber, iron, zinc, phosphorus, B vitamins and more. With so many vitamins and nutrients, chickpeas benefit the body in a number of different ways. It helps in controlling blood pressure and weight loss.
