Spicy Chocolate Popcorn

 

Everyone love popcorn and these day lots of variety available in market such as cheese popcorn, spicy popcorn, caramel popcorn and many more. Few months before I shared Caramel Popcorn with my foodie friends, now time to share the recipe of new popcorn recipe i.e. Spicy Chocolate Popcorn. It’s a great snack for movie time or munching time.

To make this popcorn recipe, you have to just the mix the melted chocolate with popped popcorn and keep them few hours to set. Now your chocolate popcorn is ready to eat but I added small twist of pink salt and piri piri spice mix which gives little kick to your tastebud.

 

Even you can keep this popcorn up to 3-4 days in an airtight jar. I tried this recipe for Kids delight theme which hosted by Ritu for Blogging Marathon.

 

 

 

What we need to make Popcorn:

1 Cup Dark Chocolate, Roughly Chopped

1/2 Cup Popcorn Kernels

1 Tbsp. Oil

1/2 Tsp. Pink Salt or Sea Salt

1/2 Tsp. Piri Piri Spice Mix or Red Paprika

 

How to make Spicy Chocolate Popcorn:

In a cooker, heat the oil and popcorn kernels and covered. Cook over the medium heat until all kernels pop. Keep aside in large bowl. Place the chopped chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and melt the chocolate until is soft and liquidly. Now spread the popcorn onto the baking sheet and pour the chocolate over the popcorn evenly. Sprinkle salt and paprika powder over the popcorn. Let sit at room temperature until chocolate has hardened.
