Dalgona Coffee Recipe (Whipped Coffee Recipe)

Dalgona Coffee is a Korean beverage which made by whipping equal proportions of instant coffee, sugar and hot water until it become creamy and fluffy and then adding it to cold milk or hot milk. Occasionally it is topped with instant coffee, choco powder, crumbled cookies and honeycomb. The beverage’s origins can be traced to the Indian subcontinent, where it called phenti hui (beaten or whipped coffee) and now it has been viral on social media.  It is easy to make and you can enjoy this coffee with any movie or music to satisfy your coffee cravings

What is Dalgona Coffee?

Dalgona coffee is a whipped coffee or beaten coffee which made by three ingredients such as instant coffee, sugar, hot water and milk.  Dalgona Coffee gets its name from the fluffy, toffee-like texture of the coffee when whipped into foam

 

Do you need instant coffee to make whipped coffee?

For the simplest version requires equal measurements of instant coffee, sugar and hot water. Next, the coffee, sugar and water need to be whipped. Using either a small mixing bowl or a large mug, whip the coffee by hand or with a hand-held mixer.

 

Serving Options:

You can serve this beaten coffee topped with crumbled biscuits, coffee powder, cocoa powder, chocochips, honey comb and chocolate syrup.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Tbsps Instant Coffee
  • 3 Tbsps. Sugar
  • 2 Tbsps. Hot Water
  • 4 Cups Milk
  • Few Ice Cubes

Instructions
 

  • Add instant coffee powder and sugar in a cup.  Add water and beat the coffee and sugar until it is light and smooth. 
  • Fill a glass with ice cubes. Pour chilled milk on top.
  • Top the glass with whipped coffee and Sprinkle little cocoa powder.
  • Serve Chilled.

Notes

You can serve this coffee with hot milk also.
