  1. Even though this is a street food of Kolkatta, I have enjoyed it day after day in S. Ex, Delhi. The muri guy would be very close to the college , right in the market and it being such a delicious chat, we practically had it everyday. The mustard oil gives it such a unique flavor..love the way you have made it.

  2. I have a weakness for this jhal muri, seriously. Am a crazy fan of chaat foods, and i can have them even daily without any fuss, whenever i come here i couldnt stop myself drooling here. Jhal muri rocks.

I love this simple and addictive Jhal muri. Perfect afternoon snack. Love the addition of mustard oil at the very much – I’m sure it adds lots of flavor to the dish. Will try next time I make this.

  4. The colours are so bright and lovely Preeti, such a wonderful chaat!..we also get a variation of this in our place..this is such a universal dish I suppose!

  5. Whenever I came across the word mustard oil, I would not want to try the dish. However, after acquiring a taste for the oil I now try everything with mustard oil in it. Jhal Muri is one of them. Love the way you’ve made it look so appetizing and colorful.
