This khichdi recipe is super healthy and oil free recipe, even I don’t use onion, garlic or anything. It can be served with pickle, chutney or curd.
Khichdi is native to India and most commonly consumed in Gujarat and Rajasthan with Buttermilk or Curd. This dish is considered to be the best when it comes to recovery from diseases.
Try some khichdi also for healthy meal. It is traditional north Indian style of khichdi. You can choose any lentil with rice such as yellow moong dal, chana dal, green moong dal or even broken wheat or daliya also.
Ingredients
1 Cup Rice
3/4 Cup Yellow Pigeon Lentil
Salt to taste
1/2 Tsp. Turmeric Powder
How to Make Khichdi:
Wash and soak the rice and dal in water for atleast 20 minutes. Drain the excess water and keep aside. Add rice, dal, salt, turmeric powder with 4 cups of water. Cover with lid and cook till to 3-4 whistles on low flame. Open the lid and mix well. Transfer into serving plate and serve hot with curd and pickle.
Zero Oil Khichdi Recipe
Ingredients
