Samosa Pinwheel ( Fried Samosa Slices)

Samosa pinwheels are great party snack which is made with samosa crust and aloo stuffing. This is an interesting twist to Indian street food Samosa.

This snack is best way to serve with green spicy chutney or sweet tamarind chutney. Even you can serve this recipe as chaat form.

For more variation or instant munching, you can use regular chapatti dough and leftover aloo bhajji to make this snack. I choose this recipe under the theme of different technique or method of cooking regular food.

What we need to make samosa pinwheel:

For Dough

2 Cup Refined Flour

1/2 Tsp. Carom Seeds

Salt to Taste

2 Tbsps. Oil

Oil for Frying

For Stuffing

4 Medium Sized Boiled Potatoes, Peel and Mashed

1/3 Cup Boiled Peas

2 Green Chilies, Chopped

Salt to taste

1/2 Tsp. Coriander Powder

Black Pepper Powder to Taste

Red Chili Powder to Taste

1/2 Tsp. Amchur or Raw Mango Powder

 

How to make samosa pinwheel:

Combine mashed potatoes, peas, chilies and spices together and mix well. Combine flour, salt, oil, carom seeds in large bowl and rub it gently. Add water and prepare dough like kachori or samosa. Cover with muslin clothe and rest for 15-20 minutes. Now dust the dough with flour and roll the dough into big chapatti (round shape). Spread the aloo stuffing evenly and roll it tight. Cut the roll into half inch slices and flat them. Heat the enough oil in deep bottom pan and fry them till to golden brown and crisp on medium flame.  Serve immediately with green mint chutney or tomato ketchup.
