What you say when golgappas serves with melted cheese and pizza style. This is a new genre of golgappas in which you can enjoy the taste of vegetable crunch and melted cheese with spicy tomato sauces.

Golgappa or panipuri is a common street snack in India which serves several regions. Golgappa is a round fried puri which filled with mixture of boiled potatoes and chickpeas with a mixture of flavored water like tamarind and pudina water.

This time I’m sharing a new way to eat golgappas at home – Cheese golgappa or golgappa cheese chaat. For this chaat, you have to prepared golgappas at home or you can use readymade golgappa which are available in market or store. After that stuffed the golgappas with mixed vegetables like corn, bell peppers, olives, onion and more whatever you prefer and add pizza sauce and tomato ketchup. Now add grated cheese and sprinkle pizza seasoning on the top… grill it for few seconds or till to melts.

It’s really amazing experience I have with this golgappas…. really cheesy and flavorful. I used oven to melt the cheese but you can even use blow torch also.

Panipuri has various names, depending on the region. In Haryana it is called paani ke patashe; in Madhya Pradesh fulki; in Uttar Pradesh golgappa, in West Bengal, Bangladesh, and Nepal, phuchka in parts of Odisha Gupchup, in parts of Gujarat, pakodi; in parts of Bihar ,South Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh, gup chup. They are also commonly known as gol gappay in the Punjab region of Pakistan Puchka differs from panipuri in terms of content and taste. It uses a mixture of boiled gram and mashed potatoes as the filling and is tangy rather than sweetish while the water is sour and spicy.

What a cheesy and yummy twist to our good old gol gappe Preeti. Totally love it. You have beautifully incorporated sauce, cheese and veggies in this dish. Will have to try it some time.

  4. I usually don’t comment with OMG, but for this chaat dish I have to say OMG! I would have never thought of making pani puri into a pizza version. Love it and definitely a must try on my list.

This may sound cheesy and delicious but no thanks i prefer the originality of golgappe. I like pizza sauce on pizza only.
