Naan is a leavened, oven baked flatbread found in the cuisine mainly of Central Asia and South Asia. Naan is Persian and means bread. Naan is a very popular Punjabi recipe which prepared with plain as butter or stuffed with paneer, aloo or gobhi. Generally Naan prepared or cooked in tandoor but these days you can cook the naan on hot tawa or iron griddle.
Today I shared Chur Chur Naan without any stuffing. It’s very popular in Delhi region. You can serve this naan recipe with dal makhani, paneer curry or Non veg curry.

Ingredients for Chur Chur Naan
2 Cup Maida/ Plain Flour
1/4 Cup Yogurt
1 Tbsp. Oil
1 Tsp. Sugar
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 Tsp. Baking Powder
How to Make Chur Chur Naan
Add all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix it well. Cover and keep aside the dough for 2-3 hours. Flatten the dough with your hands and brush it with butter. Fold the both sides and again brush it with butter. Fold again and divide the dough into equal parts. Roll it into ball and rest the dough balls for 10 minutes. Take dough and dust it with flour. Flatten it with your hands or rolling pin. Sprinkle the black sesame seeds and coriander leaves. Flip it and apply the little water on another side, place it on hot tawa and prick it with fork. Cook on medium heat for 2 minutes. Now flip the tawa upside to down and increase the flame. Move it over the flame and let it cook through until you see brown spots on the naan.

Wow.I am drooling over these melting butter over the hot nan..super !It is a great idea to make naan over the stove top, somehow I have always preferred stove top cooking to any other..wonder why..

Chur chur naan was one of the dishes my Husband made sure I tasted when we visited Delhi. It was oozing with butter and literally torn and crushed specifying the chur chur texture. Wonderful choice!

Lovely fluffy naan but still don’t understand why its called chur chur as it seems like a normal naan recipe.
Chur Chur naan is little crisp more.. because of stuffing also.. but its not stuffed and method is same.
