Sattu Ka paratha is a quite popular recipe which is made by stuffing of roasted sattu or roasted chickpea flour. Sattu or Chana atta is flavored with spices, mango pickle, onion, chilies and stuffed into the wheat flour dough and cooked on tawa as paratha. You can serve the sattu paratha with curd, baigan ka bharta or Aloo ka chokha as main course or breakfast menu.

What is Sattu?
Sattu is prepared by dry roasting Bengal gram (chana dal) and powdering it finely. It is similar in texture to besan, which is also made of Bengal gram dal, except that the dal is unroasted. Sattu is darker in color than besan and can be eaten uncooked.
Benefits of Sattu
Sattu is rich in minerals, proteins and fibre, low of glycemic index – sattu is said to be the most economical antidote to diabetes. The best way of consuming this miracle food is a chilled Sattu ka Namkeen Sharbat, but my favorite way is as Sattu Paratha with curd and baigan ka bharta.
