Whenever I found leftover rice or khichdi in freeze, always prefer to make pakoras. For more flavorful, I added onion, ginger, green chilies and coriander leaves. You can add chopped vegetables also if you prefer. It can be served with green chutney or sweet tamarind chutney. It is great evening snack with tea or coffee. I love this pakora recipe because of taste and simple recipe. To make this deep fried khichdi pakora snacks, you have to make smooth dough of khichdi, besan and spices.

Ingredients
1 Cup Leftover Khichdi
1/4 Cup Besan
1/4 Cup Onion, Chopped
1 Tsp. Ginger Paste
2 Tsp. Green Chili, Chopped
2 Tbsps. Coriander, Chopped
Salt to Taste
1 Tsp. Sesame seeds
Oil for Frying
How to Make Khichdi Pakoras:
Combine all ingredients in a deep bowl and mix well. Divide the mixture into equal portions and roll into a ball form. Heat the enough oil in a deep bottom kadai and fry them till to golden and crisp. Remove them on tissue paper and serve hot with tea and coffee.

I just finished my dinner but still feeling like grabbing and finishing off those pakoras. Never knew that leftover khichdi can be used to make such a scrumptious snack. I want to curl up with that bowl of crispy, yum pakodas and a cup of hot chocolate with the kind of nasty weather we have right now.

One of the best ways to use leftover khichdi that no one wants to finis off. I too make this the sam eway but sometimes add rice flour to it. Pakoras look so delsih..
Hi Preeti. I tried your “Dal KhichdiPakpra”. It was simply awesome. My kids love it. My kerala friend suggest snacks will taste yummy when fried in coconut oil. I tried your recipe in coconut oil. The blend of fabulous.
