Bread Dahi Bhalle (Oil Free Dahi Bhalle)

This dahi bhalla or dahi vada are made from bread and that is non-fried, simple and quick recipe. This vadas are super soft, melted in mouth and rich like stuffed or shahi dahi bhalla. This delicious dahi bhalla chaat recipe is made from stuffed bread round shaped ball which are non-fried or zero oil recipe.

For stuffing I used cottage cheese, cucumber, onion and chopped nuts. You can add boiled potatoes also. For making this Indian chaat, you have to prepare vadas first and then serve with Indian chutneys and spices.

I used Imli chutney, coriander chutney and beaten curd with spices, sev and fresh coriander. For this recipe no premix required, no soaking of dal, fried or grinding process. Just combine the ingredients and stuffed in bread. This is perfect recipe for Indian festival days such as Diwali, Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi.

Ingredient

6 Bread slices

2 Tbsp. Green coriander chutney

2 Tbsp. Meethi chutney (imli)

2 Cup Beaten curd

1 Tsp. Red chilies powder

2 Tbsp. Roasted cumin powder

 To Stuffing

2 Tbsp. Cucumber, peeled & grated

2 Tbsp. Onion, chopped

2 Tbsp. Cottage Cheese/ paneer, grated

1 Tsp. Black pepper powder

Salt to taste

Few Raisins and Almonds, fine chopped

To Garnish

Fresh Green coriander, chopped

Instructions:

Combine the peel and grated cucumber, cottage cheese, fine chopped onion, black pepper
powder, salt in same bowl.

Add raisins and fine chopped almonds in stuffing mixture.

Cut the sides of the bread slices.

Soak one bread slice in the water at a time. Remove the slice from the water and squeeze out excess water in-between both the palms.

Stuff 1 tbsp. of mixture. Close the bread in your palms in the shape of a round shaped ball.

Repeat this with the rest of the slices.

Set this bread ball in refrigerate for 20 min.

Arrange the bhallas in serving bowl and pour the beaten curd on top of the bhallas.

Now garnish with meethi chutney, green chutney, sev, chopped coriander, salt, red chilies
powder, roasted cumin powder.

Note: In garnishing, we can use pomegranate seeds, nuts and more.
