
Potato Fries are little boring now and even unhealthy too. We need to try something new or healthy option for kid’s lunch box. So, this time I tried Suji or Semolina based French fries without potatoes. Isn’t sound interesting?
This is super simple and quick recipe which perfect for kid’s parties and lunch boxes. To make these super crunchy and tasty fries, we need just few ingredients. These French fries are made of semolina mixture instead of potato but are just as delicious and crisp. You can add spices in semolina dough like red paprika, garlic powder, chaat masala and black pepper.
You can serve these fried with mayo dip or ketchup whatever you prefer. It’s a perfect tea time snack for everyone.

Ingredients
1 Cup Semolina Or Suji
1 ½ Cup Water
Salt to taste
2 Tbsps Oil
Red Chili Flakes to taste
1 Tsp. Dried Oregano
1 Tsp. Garlic Powder, Optional
1/4 Cup Cornflour
Oil for Deep Frying
Instruction for Sooji French fries
Boil 1 ½ Cup water in a non-stick pan, add semolina, salt and mix well. Cook till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan and add oil for smooth dough. Take it off the heat and let it cool down to room temperature.
Now add oregano, chili flakes and garlic powder and cornflour. Now mix everything well and prepare a dough.
Take a plate or tray and grease it with oil, spread the dough evenly.
Keep the tray in the fridge for 15-20 minutes. Cut the dough into small fries shape.
Heat the oil in a pan on high flame for deep frying. Add fries one by one in to the pan and fry well till to golden and crisp.
Now your suji french fries are completely ready to eat and serve along with sauces.
