Chana Dal Vada | Crispy Chana Dal Vada Recipe

Chana Dal Vada is very tasty, savory and crunchy fritters which you relish at evening time with coffee or tea. This time I add poha also in this chana dal mixture to make it more crunchy and tasty. There are many ways to make chana dal vada. For more flavors, I added coriander, peanuts, chilies, and onion. You can add even veggies also for another version of chana dal vadai or vada. You can serve this vadai or vada  with ketchup, coconut chutney or any Indian chutney.

The main story to make this chana dal vada is, I soaked chana dal for classic chana dal curry for lunch but i didn’t cook lunch that day due to the fact that we ordered food from outside.  So In evening, I prepared these chana dal with tea as evening snacks. I had a small quantity of dal as I soaked it only for curry, so finally I added some poha to increase the quantity. Adding poha in this recipe, makes it tastier.

  1. I found this recipe online, and it looked and sounded so lovely and tasty that I decided to try it out for myself. It was a huge hit with both my spouse and myself. What wonderful flavors from such a simple dish (I love those kinds of recipes), and the taste feels like something I toiled over for hours to achieve, haha.
